Cogniveil in Saudi Arabia
Together they make data sovereignty the first question in any Saudi engagement, before features and before price.
The regulatory frame
- SAMA, the Saudi Central Bank, sets the rules a financial institution must satisfy before deploying technology that touches regulated data. Its Cyber Security Framework is the mandatory baseline, and its Cloud Computing Framework governs where data may live: sensitive customer data, transaction records, and operationally critical information must reside on infrastructure physically inside the Kingdom.
- The Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL)governs personal data nationally, alongside the National Cybersecurity Authority's controls.
Together they make data sovereignty the first question in any Saudi engagement, before features and before price.
Deployment and language
In-Kingdom deployment
The platform runs where the bank's data must stay.
For banking, on-premises deployment is mandatory in our own assessment of the Saudi frame. Regulated data remains inside the institution's environment and inside the Kingdom. The same governed product can run on customer hardware, as a managed appliance, or fully air gapped where network policy requires it.
Customer hardware
Cogniveil runs inside infrastructure owned, hosted, and networked by the institution.
Managed appliance
On-premises control with an agreed channel for managed operations and support.
Air gapped
An isolated runtime with no external network path for the most sensitive workloads.
Sharia-aware intelligence
AI coworkers that understand Sharia law, with the scholar still in control.
For work in Saudi Arabia, Cogniveil can ground an AI coworker in the Sharia law sources, standards, institutional policies, and supervisory guidance approved for its role. The coworker can review, compare, document, and escalate. Qualified Sharia experts retain interpretation, judgment, and final approval.
