Governed AI
Governed AI is artificial intelligence that operates under enforced organizational policy: what it may access, what it may say, and who must approve its output are controlled by the platform, not left to the model. Every output carries a verifiable record of how it was produced, so the work can be defended later.
Why the distinction matters
The distinction matters in regulated functions. A capable model without governance produces answers no one can stand behind: no permissions, no trace, no accountability. Governed AI inverts that. The controls sit before and around the model, so the output arrives with its evidence attached. Governance here is not a policy document beside the system. It is enforced by the system.
